Innovative ‘Dough On the Go’ Kicking

Universal City's Pizza Experience Up a Notch

November 15, 2007 - In 2005, Air Force veteran Darren Bemis and wife Kristy set their sights on bringing the concept of take-n-bake pizza to South Texas. They researched similar enterprises in other areas of the country, created their company name "Dough on the Go", developed a business plan and set up shop as clients of Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. in Universal City’s Kitty Hawk shopping center off Loop 1604.

The center, Kitty Hawk @  Loop 1604, just north of San Antonio and minutes from Randolph Air Force Base, the Forum shopping center and I-35, has turned out to be ideal for this start-up business. Attractive storefronts, a high-traffic area and a custom interior finish-out have supported the owners' concept from business plan to reality.

Open seven days a week, the couple’s hard work and commitment is paying off with the aroma of fresh-cooked pizza wafting through more Universal City homes each day.

Bemis describes his experience: “We realize the first year is one of the most critical to a new business. This Universal City location turned out to be a great fit - a short commute for us, and a high-traffic area for business. Our building really looks nice, and we got to finish it out the way we wanted to, warehouse style.”

Dough on the Go is located at 12000 East Loop 1604 North, on the northeast corner of Kitty Hawk and Loop 1604, across from HEB and adjacent to the new Northeast Lakeview College.

Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. is proud to support this new business as part of our client base. For more information about Dough on the Go, give Darren Bemis a call at (210) 566-4800. For information on this and other Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. property listings, please visit www.askdag.com.
